Summary
American Management Resources Corporation (AMRC) performed a soil and groundwater assessment to investigate findings from a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA). The Phase II ESA was recommended to address a recognized environmental condition relating to an adjacent property with reported aluminum contamination.
Challenge
AMRC had to determine if the subsurface of the subject property had been adversely affected by the activities at the adjacent property.
Solution
A soil boring and temporary monitor well were installed. Soil samples were collected to check for the presence of organic vapors. Groundwater samples were collected and sent for lab analysis which determined there was aluminum present in exceedance of the contaminant cleanup target levels.
Project Highlights
- The AMRC team was able to utilize a hand auger preventing the need for a drill rig.
- The project was completed on time and within the budget.
