Summary
American Management Resources Corporation (AMRC) performed asbestos abatement, consulting and monitoring within a 4-story commercial building. The asbestos-containing material removed consisted of over 40,000 ft2 of various flooring materials including rolled vinyl and vinyl composite tile with mastic.
Challenge
The asbestos-containing flooring materials were in an area completely open to the exterior environment.
Solution
Using 6 mil polyethylene, the work area was contained by constructing temporary barriers. The work area was placed under negative pressure using air filtration devices that were HEPA filtered.
